I was in the midwest last week, visiting an ailing brother who had just learned he had stage 4 lung cancer. The prognosis is not good. It was hard leaving, knowing that I might not see him again later this year for a trip planned long before his illness was discovered.
Shortly after returning, my youngest son was offered and accepted a full-time teaching position at Arizona State University after spending the last two years teaching in a community college. He is thrilled and we are thrilled for him!.
It's been a sad week and a happy week.
